Non-Line-of-Sight Engineering

Multipath integration helps recover usable energy from indirect signal paths.

Interference Cancellation

Adaptive processing suppresses unwanted radio energy in a changing environment.

Capacity for Growth

G2 gives operators a higher-capacity access option across multiple spectrum bands.

Go Inside the Technology

Built around the connection
your customer experiences.

Base Node

At the site.

The sector radio connects the access network to available backhaul.

Remote Node

At the address.

The subscriber radio closes the wireless link to each home or business.

The real world gets in the way. Tarana engineers for it. Multipath integration brings reflected signal paths together. Real-time interference cancellation helps the desired signal come through. With G2, four carriers combine capacity across licensed and unlicensed spectrum. So operators can plan for more customers. And communities can plan for more.

Your subscribers’ traffic
stays in your network.

Keep the forwarding path and the management relationship distinct when reviewing the architecture.

Conceptual architecture. TCS manages the network; subscriber payload does not transit TCS.

  • Define the handoffDocument VLANs, addressing, subscriber policy, aggregation, and the backhaul interface with your network team.
  • Plan failure behaviorReview power backup, backhaul resilience, recovery procedures, and the effect of a management outage as part of acceptance testing.
  • Size the entire pathValidate radio and backhaul capacity together. A fast access link cannot compensate for congestion upstream.

Make Installation Repeatable

The Install App supports radio setup and alignment. Define a standard completion record: device identity, mounting, alignment, link test, and the customer handoff.

Watch the Service, Not Just the Radio

TCS provides KPIs, history, and alarms. Agree which events require intervention, who receives them, and which service indicators trigger escalation.

Control Changes across the Fleet

Use roles, configuration discipline, and a staged firmware process. Validate on a pilot cohort before expanding a change to the wider network.

TCS, Installation, and Security Details

Questions worth resolving early.

Does 512 Remote Nodes Mean 512 Simultaneous Gigabit Services?

No. The supported remote-node count and the sector’s aggregate capacity describe different limits. Engineer the service mix around busy-hour demand, available carriers, link quality, uplink share, and the headroom your service standard requires.

Can a G2 Upgrade Preserve Existing Customer Radios?

Tarana describes G2 as backward-compatible with previous-generation Remote Nodes. Confirm the inventory and software combination, and distinguish retained compatibility from the additional multiband capabilities of RNm.

What Should a Proof of Concept Demonstrate?

Use representative addresses and documented pass criteria. Include simultaneous load, difficult links, an install workflow, operational alarms, and recovery tests. Retain the configuration and test conditions with the results.
